My name is Alin Girlea  . I was  born in 1969 . In 1995 God blessed me with my wife Aida , the most wonderful support and gift . We have two children : Estera and Samuel .

I was born in an Orthodox family . My father was a vet and my mother was an accountant inspector . We have a good financial income,but it wasn’t enough! My parents divorced . My mother,alone, raised me and my brother . She never gets married. She tried to educate and to support us My brother finished Police Academy. I finished Popular School of Musical Arts. I wanted to follow Music College , but that was not God’s desire.  I created a band . I performed in musical concerts. I performed in Herculane, having a very good contract . I earned a lot of money . It was the period after the revolution against the communism. In that periode, my grandmother become a Christian, but she died after 2 years . She was an example for me. Many times, I saw her prayind for me, in the middle of the night, when I came back home after my concerts. Her death devastated me. It was the first time that I was worried for my soul . Then, one day, in 1991   I saw a group of young Romanian and American people, singing,in the centre of the city. They were sitting in front of a big shop . I was attracted by their song. That song pierced my heart . ‘’You were crossed and Your nails tell me / How great was Your love for me / The thorned crown tells me how great Your love was for me ‘’.   They made an invitation to receive Lord Jesus as Personal Saviour. I raised my hand . My band collegues tried to convince me to give up . I continuated my music concerts at the hotel where I was employed . But , I felt a change inside of my soul . I had the feeling I was an intruder,I felt unconfortable . I didn’t find any satisfaction in my concerts. One day I went in a quiet place and I praised there . I said : ‘’ God ,if You exists, if you called me , give me the strength to renounce of this world !’’ . And God blessed me with strength and courage. I decided to leave the band . I took my instruments . I informed my collegues about my decision. They were very upset , they told me ugly words , they blamed me . They made me a fool ( just because our band finalized a contract with a great Romanian musical artist ) . They were disappointed . But they didn’t understand me . They didn’t know Christ . But I couldn’t sing that music. I go to the church . I served there in child ministry , in youth ministry . I began to ministry in my natal village Ostrovul Corbului .

God used me to serve Him , to worship Him . I served Him by singing and preaching His Word , too .

The Calling in His ministry

I have served God in church , since the day I became a Christian . First, I worked with children, then with the young people in the church . I continued to ministry in my natal village . Many villagers discouraged me but I didn’t give up . The Holly Spirit gave me strength . The church didn’t support me . I ministried with my own resources. I hadn’t any interes, except God’s ministry . After 2 years , six people became Christians . This was a great encouragement. That time , we hadn’t a building and we met in a small rented room . It was difficult , but God took care of my financial income .  Each year, God increased the believers “number . Today in Ostrovul Corbului there are almost 50 people.

I pray God for missionaries to help me in the ministry . The church from Ostrovul Corbului wasn’t rich , but it was a missionary church . I’m very thankfull and glad for each saved person . Know that every Christian is Lord Jesus   fruit  . He gives me strength when my body becomes tired or my soul is sad because of people’s disregard . I will keep on, I won’t give up ( being paid or not paid ; encouraged or discouraged) . I know Jesus called me in His LIFE . I am sure about my calling, that’s why , I believe He will find amoung you, people ready to Serve Him with all your gifts .

Church’s vision

I praised God to give me a vision in the ministry .

1. Preaching Lord Jesus Christ’s Gospel , depending on human potential.

2. Belivers’ encouragement and maturity .

3. Disciples’ training .

I believe that the greatest need in God’s ministry is disciples’ training ( the training of people called to preach the Gospel ) .

We ( as curch ) are interested in :

1.  Bible’s teaching

2.  People’s salvation

3.  The preaching ( for changing and growing believer’s life )
